Library/Media Center

The Library/Media Center exists to help students develop a lifelong habit of library use by providing leadership and instruction in the application of information and technology as well as resources and activities that contribute to learning.

The Library/Media Center is a place where students may explore classroom subjects that interest them more fully, expand their imagination, delve into areas of personal interest, and develop their God-given ability to think clearly, critically, and creatively about the resources they have chosen to read, hear, or view.

Students may check out books for a period of two weeks and the check-out may be renewed one time.

A number of educational research tools are available in the Library, along with Internet access through our computer network. SIRS Research is a selection of 1,200 full text journals, magazines, and newspapers that explore social, scientific, health, historic, economic, business, political, and global issues. SIRS Discoverer contains articles and graphics from more that 600 periodicals that introduce information on more than 85 countries. Also available are Encarta, World Book, Dorling Kindersley Encyclopedia of Science and History, and others.
